Acer Launches Swift 3 OLED With DisplayHDR TruBlack 500 Certification

OLED display technology is mainly found in high-end smartphones and smart TVs. Recently, many computer makers have started implementing his OLED technology in mid-tier and high-end laptops. Acer launched the first ever Swift series his laptop with an OLED screen, the Acer Swift 3 OLED.

The base model Swift 3 OLED with Intel Core i5-12450H CPU, 16GB LPDDR4x RAM and 512GB internal storage is priced at Rs 89,999. The device is available from store.acer.com, Acer Exclusive Stores, Amazon, Croma, and Vijay Sales.

According to gizbot.com, The Acer Swift 3 OLED, as the name suggests, features a 14-inch OLED display with 2.8K resolution (2880 x 1800p) and 100% DCI-P3 color space coverage. The laptop is also DisplayHDR TrueBlack 500 certified and offers a peak brightness of 500 cd/m². Compared to his traditional IPS LCD panel-equipped laptop, the Swift 3 OLED has a better contrast ratio (1,000,000:1) and deeper blacks.

The display goodness doesn’t stop there, as it also offers a 90Hz refresh rate. Another feature worth mentioning on this laptop is the FHD webcam. This is said to improve the video calling experience with Acer’s TNR (Temporal Noise Reduction) technology, which claims to improve image quality in low light.

This laptop features a fully backlit FineTip keyboard and an optical fingerprint sensor that supports Windows Hello. The 57Wh battery supports 100W fast charging to power your device via the USB Type-C port. Since this is an Intel Evo certified notebook, it should offer all-day battery life without issue.

Swift 3 OLED doesn’t have a dedicated GPU, but the integrated Iris Xe graphics should allow users to launch some casual games. As for connectivity, the Swift 3’s latest modem supports OLED Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 4.2. The device also features a full-size HDMI port, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports, and a USB Type-C/Thunderbolt 4 port.
