Hogwarts legacy system requirements: Nearly everyone has good things to say about Hogwarts Legacy, a new game set in the Harry Potter universe.

What kind of PC do I need to play Hogwarts Legacy?
The game has four sets of recommended or required hardware, but the lowest-end ones won’t get you much more than 30 frames per second at low quality settings. With good hardware, you should be able to get 60fps at a resolution of 1,920×1,080 pixels.
On PC, the game automatically checks your hardware and sets what it thinks are the best graphics settings, but you should still play around with them to find what works best for you.

Hogwarts Legacy: Can it be played on a Mac?
No, it’s only available on consoles (PS4 and PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox S and X) and Windows for now. If the game is added to a cloud service like Nvidia GeForce Now, it might be possible to play it on a Mac.
How exactly does it work?
I put the game on both a high-end gaming laptop and a mid-range laptop that wasn’t made for gaming. The Razer Blade 18 has a Core i9 CPU and Nvidia’s RTX 4080 GPU. At Ultra settings and a resolution of 2,560×1,600 pixels, I was getting between 120 and 140 frames per second.
Then I tried a laptop with Intel’s Arc graphics chip, the Samsung Galaxy Book Pro. Based on the chart above, it seems like that would be supported, but the Arc chip mentioned there is a higher-end model, not the more common one in the Samsung.
Even with all the settings turned down as far as they could go, I could only get a frame rate in the low to mid-20s. This isn’t even good enough for casual gaming.
