The Colourful EVOL X16 PRO Debuts With Raptor Lake Processors, RTX 4000-Series Graphics Cards, and “One-Key” Cooling

Colorful’s latest gaming laptop includes 13th-gen Intel Core CPUs and RTX 4070 graphics. The EVOL X16 PRO has 240Hz display settings, a “multi-zone cooling system,” and keyboard keys to alter it. The 16-inch PC has Thunderbolt 4 and user-upgradable storage.

In terms of gaming laptops, the Colorful EVOL X16 PRO’s black aluminum chassis with a height of 19.9 millimeters might come across to some potential purchasers as being on the more generic side; however, its internal specifications, which are kept up to date, might still be enough to turn some heads.

The new personal computer comes equipped with a vapor chamber and two fans for thermal management.

This thermal management may be modified in various ways throughout the EVOL X16 PRO’s system by pushing the Fn+1 button on its RGB-backlit keyboard.

Displays with 165Hz or QHD 240Hz refresh rates are available for selection on the EVOL X16 PRO. Although there is only one 512GB NVME SSD option, it utilizes DDR5 RAM with capacities ranging from 16 to 64 gigabytes.

On the other hand, Colorful does not fill the second M.2 2280 slot on the X16 PRO, so the user can decide whether or not to make additional expansions.

Although Colorful has not yet announced the pricing or availability of the EVOL X16 PRO, the initial “mainstream” Core i7-13700H/GeForce RTX 4060 configuration may reduce sticker shock when the product is made available.

Then again, for those willing to make a longer-term investment of a greater (or lesser) magnitude, other SKUs that either scale up to an i9-13900H/RTX 4070 combo or scale down to a 4050 will subsequently become available.
